Rotting corpse found in drain, four detained

Decomposed body of a 21-year-old man was found in a drain in west Delhi on Friday morning. According to police, the man, identified as Anil, a resident of Nihal Vihar in west Delhi, was missing for the past six days. He worked at a factory and went missing on 2 March. A case was reported at the police station but the accused are yet to be arrested.

 On Friday morning, a PCR call was received about a decomposed body. Following, a police team was rushed to the spot that recovered the body was floating in a drain. The corpse was severely decomposed and his identity could not be established. The body bore multiple stabbing marks. All police stations in the city were informed about the discovery of the body. After missing persons’ records were checked, the body was matched with Anil’s description, whose family was then contacted to identify the corpse.

The family informed police on 2 March, Anil went out with four of his friends, hinting at a possibility of their involvement in the murder. On the basis of the allegations, all four have been detained and are being questioned by the cops.
