In a case of daylight robbery near Zakir Hussain College in central Delhi, one person was killed and another injured on Monday morning. The firing took place during a robbery at a boutique in the Kamla Market area. At about 11.45 am, five assailants entered the boutique with an intent to rob, the police said. They fled with about Rs 8,000.
Apart from the money, they also snatched four mobile sets from the shop owner. While the robbers were running away, two passers-by Mohammed Sultan and Mohammed Nawab Ali tried to apprehend them. Sultan was shot in the process and he died on the spot.
