Road rage: woman journo and colleague roughed up

In yet another incident, a woman journalist along with her colleague were roughed up by a truck driver and its owner in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar area on Wednesday evening. The incident took place at around 6.30 am near Delhi-Noida border in east Delhi’s Mayur Vihar area when the victim, identified as Chanchal Saini was on her way to home. She was accompanied with her colleague, identified as Dilip Pandey. The duo works in a private channel in Noida. Saini works as a video editor while Pandey is a producer in the same organistaion. 

At the time of the incident the victims’ car was rashly overtaken by the truck over which there was an argument. The truck driver then called the vehicle owner who allegedly beat up the news producer, police said.“When our car reached near a park, a speeding truck overtook our car in such a manner that we nearly had an accident, ‘Saini told police in her statement. After they managed to overtake the truck, Saini said the truck driver called his owner who misbehaved with her and also thrashed her colleague.
