In yet another road rage incident reported from the national Capital, two men got into a scuffle in North-West Delhi’s Bharat Nagar on Saturday, after one car brushed past another. The accused bit the hand of the other.

The incident took place around 8 pm, when Dharmendra was returning from the airport in a car and reached the Ashok Vihar area. “Dharmendra’s vehicle brushed past another car owned by Siddharth Kapoor, a resident of Model Town. As Kapoor’s rear view mirror got damaged because of the accident, he came out of the car and got into a heated argument with Dharmendra, which soon turned into a scuffle,” said a police official.

According to eyewitness, Kapoor thrashed Dharmendra after the latter chewed his finger. Kapoor’s teeth were also broken in the brawl. Dharmendra told the police that the locals witnessing the incident grabbed Kapoor and saved him.

One of the eye-witness made a call to the police and a team reached the spot. The accused was nabbed by the police, while Dharmendra was taken to a nearby hospital ,where he is undergoing treatment. Police have registered a case under Sections 324, 325 and 427 of IPC at Bharat Nagar police station. Further investigations are underway.

The stretch in Bharat Nagar has become a hub of such incidents. This is the third incident of road rage from that area in last two weeks. Few days ago, a youth travelling  by a scooty was beaten up by a car-borne man, while in another incident, a car driver was threatened by a man bearing a knife after the driver applied brakes.
