To celebrate 107th birth anniversary of martyr Bhagat Singh, the Shaheed-e-azam society is holding a photo exhibition displaying struggle and lives of some known and some unknown martyrs. The exhibition will also screen a documentary based on Singh’s life.
The documentary titled Inquilab (40 minutes) is based on the life, contribution and sacrifice of Bhagat Singh and his comrades Rajguru and Sukhdev. The documentary has been produced by the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library gives an authentic account of the events surrounding the bloody freedom struggle.
The exhibition of photos of 100 martyrs will also be display. This exhibition will be dedicated not only to the well known heroes like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad but also to those unsung heroes whose sacrifice deserve reverence. Lives of martyrs like Sohanlal Pathak, Kashiram from Punjab, Baikunth Shukla, Mahavir Singh from UP, Kunwar Singh from Bihar, Kanaklata, Kushal Konwar from Asam, Binoy Basu and Badal Gupt from Bengal will be a part of the 100 pictures on display at the event.
On the occasion, Bhagat Singh’s nephew Kiranjeet Singh, Batukeshwar Dutt’s daughter Bharati Bagchi, Rajguru’s grandson Shantanu Rajguru, Ashfaqulla Khan’s grandson Ashfaq and several other family members will be present to narrate personal accounts of the bravehearts.
