A 13-year-old victim of gang-rape, who was recuperating in AIIMS after consuming an overdose of sleeping pills on 20 April, yet again tried to commit suicide at the hospital, her relatives said.
The girl was brought to the AIIMS on 22 April, after she had taken an overdose of sleeping pills following her gang-rape. ‘She took 16 sleeping pills last night around 2 am. She called our mother and told her that she was going to die, and then she fell unconscious,’ the girl’s sister said.
The girl was abducted on 15 March by eight men, including some known to her, and released from her ordeal on 24 March.
