Update: 2013-12-27 23:55 GMT
Rahul Gandhi will hold interactions with chief ministers of 12 Congress-ruled states here on Friday as the party braces for next Lok Sabha polls after a debacle in recent state assembly elections. The meeting being held at 15-Rakabganj Road, also known as Congress War Room, to work out poll strategies will discuss the future course for the party in the wake of the passage of Lokpal and Lokayukta Bill.

The meeting will discuss the issue of price rise in detail and the steps to be taken to arrest the rising prices.

Immediately after the results of the assembly elections in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh were out, Congress President Sonia Gandhi had listed price rise as an issue that could have led to the rout of the party in these states. The meeting will also discuss the food security issue.

Congress has chief ministers in 12 states, many of whom including Haryana and Uttarakhand CMs were the first to launch the scheme, which UPA believed was a gamechanger for 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
