‘They are just playing with the sentiments of the people under the garb of religion. These leaders are not aware of the basic fact that Buddhism is just an offshoot of Hinduism and a part and parcel of Hindu ethos,’ Udit Raj said.
‘To change from one branch of a religion to another is just a matter of one’s evolution and does not amount to conversion. Moreover according to BJP ideology, Hindutva represents all sections and groups of the country,’ added Raj.
Contending the ‘outsider’ tag, Udit Raj said that AAP and Congress nominees from this constituency are probably not aware of the fact that he has been serving the people across different areas of Delhi for the last thirty-five years in different capacities, largely working for the welfare of the downtrodden and economically weaker sections of the society, besides being a national leader.
‘With regards to AAP candidate, Rakhi Birla and her tall claims of being a well-wisher of the poor people and an honest politician, the less said the better. The stark reality is that she does not even meet her workers and people say that even for extending small help, she expects large sums of money as consideration’, Raj said.
‘Thus both these leaders are misleading the people of the constituency and confusing them by raising non-issues rather than questions of development, which is the main plank of the BJP both at the national level and for each and every constituency’, added Raj.
Udit Raj, on Monday started his campaign from Ambedkar park to K block Jahangirpuri and then addressed a public meeting at Siraspur and Durga Chowk near Bhalaswa dairy, Madanpur Village, Rani Kheda Village, Rasulpur Village, Bhagya Vihar, Meer Vihar, Ghevra and Savda village.
