Tell us about you. How did you start off?
I've been DJ'ing now for about 17 years. I started playing music when I was 16, in Bangalore.
What was the first big break for you?
I think the first break was winning the DMC Championships in 1999, Delhi. It gave me the motivation to take the art further, and the confidence that I can actually make it in the music business.
How would you define your musical philosophy? Tell us a bit about your music, what do you think defines you?
My music is about one thing, to make people dance. But the music also has many moods and emotions, which change with time and inspiration. I would not really like to define it, as its always evolving.
How easy (or difficult) is it to make a mark in the music scene? What do you think about the main issues are?
You need to be focused and determined. It's easy to get caught in the 'bling' factor of the industry, but to really make it, you need to love what you do and be as original as you can be.
What/Who inspires you?
Life inspires me. It could be meeting people, chilling on the beach or playing a damn good gig. It's all inspiration for my productions.
Tell us about your best tracks.
Well, I don't know what my best track would be! My most recent productions are my favorites, and that changes every few days.
What songs top your playlist right now?
Dustin Zahn - Calm Like A Bomb
HTRK - Psychic 9-5 Club
What suggestions/advice would you have for newbies in music?
Quality over Quantity, always!
How has Delhi been for you?
Delhi has always been home for me, but a couple of years ago I moved to Goa. Though Delhi does have its moments in my life.
