Qatar Airways talks are on marketing pact only: IndiGo

Update: 2015-07-30 21:16 GMT
No-frills carrier IndiGo on <g data-gr-id="17">Wednesdayday</g> said it is in preliminary discussions with Qatar Airways to explore a marketing collaboration but termed as "baseless" reports of the airline offloading stake to
the Gulf carrier.  "IndiGo is in preliminary discussions with Qatar Airways to explore potential marketing arrangements based on mutual interests," the airline said in a statement here.

IndiGo's official confirmation that it was in discussions with Qatar Airways comes ahead of the no-frills carrier gearing up for an initial public offer worth nearly Rs 2,500 crore. Interestingly, Qatar Airways had yesterday confirmed its talks with IndiGo and rejected reports that it was eyeing investment in the low-cost carrier SpiceJet.

News reports about any possibility of Qatar Airways acquiring a stake in IndiGo are completely baseless, IndiGo said.
