‘Provide leadership free of bureaucratisation’

Update: 2014-10-22 00:11 GMT
The Jawaharlal Nehru University Teachers’ Association has for the second time written a letter to the vice chancellor urging him to provide effective leadership free of bureaucratisation to the institute and fulfill their earlier stated demands.

The JNU Teachers’ Association (JNUTA) 12 October wrote a letter and threatened action if the vice chancellor failed to fulfil their charter of demands within 21 days. With the demand on issues of promotion and pension, Vice Chancellor SK Sopory replied to the teachers’ association 15 October.

‘We find that your letter not only does not resolve the issues we have taken up, but points to the main problem that we have raised with you. As such, our demands still stand. We appeal to you to fulfil them within the next seven days,’ JNUTA president Arun Kumar said on Tuesday.
