A 45-year-old property dealer was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the balcony of his residence in outer Delhi’s Prashant Vihar area on Tuesday morning. The police haven’t ruled out probability of murder and the relatives of the deceased are being questioned, said a police official.
The deceased was identified as Naresh Saini. His body was discovered by his nephew who called up the police control room around 8 am. Saini had recently had a liposuction surgery at a private hospital in Delhi. His family members told the police that they reportedly heard a thud, suggesting that Saini collapsed all of a sudden and later hit a flower pot in the balcony. However, the police have also found a wound on his chest, which could have caused his death, said a source. He further said, Sanini was also involved in some property dispute, as reported by Saini’s brother, who alleged foul-play in the incident.
His body was sent for a post-mortem examination and initial autopsy report suggested that he was dead around an hour before the PCR call, the source added.
“All allegations are to be verified and the case is to be probed from several angles. Investigation is underway but no conclusion can be drawn until the post-mortem report is obtained,” said a police official.
