A 45-year-old property dealer committed suicide in his residence at Shalimar Bagh in north-west Delhi on Friday.
Police recovered a suicide not from the spot, in which the deceased mentioned that he was himself to be blamed for his death.
The deceased was identified as Sajjan Kumar (35), who hailed from West Bengal. He shifted to Shalimar Bagh after getting married two years ago, but his wife left him soon after the marriage.
Ever since then, he was living on his own at the rented apartment in Shalimar Bagh, said a police official. He further said, the deceased had kept his apartment door ajar and the body was discovered by a neighbour at around 10 am on Friday He immediately called the police and reported the incident.
Police reached the spot immediately and sent the body for postmortem, the official added. Neighbours said he was depressed for the past one year.
