Priest tied to tree, burnt to death in Rajasthan

A 50-year-old priest was tied to a tree and burnt alive by unidentified persons in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, police said on Monday. <g data-gr-id="10">Patram</g> was the priest of Shani temple in <g data-gr-id="11">Ghadsana</g> area of the district was tied to a tree and set ablaze last night, they said. 

"On being informed by some locals, <g data-gr-id="15">police</g> team reached the spot last night and took the victim a local hospital where doctors declared him dead," police said. 

A mobile phone was recovered from the spot and is being examined, they said  A case has been registered against unidentified persons, police said, adding, the reason behind the killing would be clear after arrest of the accused who are being identified.
