Police rewards 2 railway officers for rescuing girl

The Delhi Police have rewarded two railway officials, who rescued a three-year-old girl, when she was being taken to Haryana in a train. Shubham Jain and Jasbir Singh were given a cash reward of Rs 10,000 each for their alertness and selfless efforts in rescuing the missing girl. Cash reward of Rs 5,000 each were also given to Manjit Singh and Rajvir Singh of railway police in Sonepat for smartly dealing with the situation.

According to police, on 6 November police received information about a missing girl from Lal Bagh area in north Delhi’s Azadpur.  

Later it emerged that, the accused, identified as Bhanwar Singh, had abducted the girl and was heading to Sonepat in a train. On getting suspicious, Jasbir interrogated the girl and informed the police when foul play was found.
