As a part of its ‘Operation Milap’, Delhi Police’s crime branch has reunited a 17-years-old girl lodged at a children’s home with her family members.
A team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit on December 19 reached ‘Ashraya Family Home’, a children’s home at Madanpur Dabas, and examined the records of children lodged there.
During examination, a girl appeared nervous and on sustained persuasion, she revealed that she belonged to a poor family from Ludhiana in Punjab.
“She used to visit fairs with her parents to sell balloons. In September, a man allegedly lured her to Delhi and they stayed in Bawana area for 10 days after which he left her. Later on, she was found by police and sent to the Ashraya Family Home on September 17,” said a police officer of crime branch.
