Police have questioned the friends of a 21-year-old US-based NRI youth who was killed on Saturday night after being hit with a heavy object during a scuffle at a party.
Anmol Sarna had suffered several wounds on his head and body and later succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Saturday night.
Police has been questioning his four friends while the body was sent for post-mortem, sources said.
‘There is no further information regarding post-mortem,’ said deputy commissioner of police (south east) P Karunakaran on Sunday. Doctors who attended to Sarna had said he died due to excessive loss of blood as there was a deep injury mark on his head.
According to the police, Sarna, who had completed his schooling in New York and was living in Delhi with his relatives, was found in a pool of blood late on Saturday night outside South Park Apartment at Kalkaji area in south Delhi. The house in which they were partying belonged to Sarna’s childhood friend Chikki who was supposed to go to London for higher studies.
According to the police, during the party, an argument broke out between the friends which soon snowballed into a scuffle during which Sarna was hit on his head with a heavy object.
