The police Thursday claimed to have solved the sensational murder case of dreaded criminal Mohammad Khalid Ahmad with the arrest of another gangster named Mobin.
Khalid Ahmad was shot dead on 29 May in Tilak Bazar. The police found that the victim was killed by Mobin. The latter had been working with Khalid Ahmad in his office but was later removed from the job because of some differences between the two.
During the course of investigation, various raiding parties were formed and sent at suspected hideouts of the accused persons. An accused named
Rishi Gupta was arrested by the Delhi police's crime branch on 2 June.
'During interrogation, Gupta confessed to his involvement and admitted to having arranged the vehicle TATA Safari for his friend Mobin and to have him driven to Tilak Bazar where Mobin fired several rounds at Khalid Ahmad,' a police officer said.
It was Gupta who reportedly facilitated the Mobin's stay in Agra after the murder.
On the basis of the details provided by Gupta, the police arrested Mobin from ISBT. He confessed to the murder.
