PM Narendra Modi praised the work carried out by the Indian Railways, under Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, at the foundation ceremony of some projects at Hajipur, Bihar. “Railway is very old in our country. But if we leave railways in its old undeveloped state, it shall become a burden. If the Railways, which moved India on the path of progress, is left in its static old state, it shall in no time become a liability and burden. Railway requires revamp. Sureshji (Prabhu) is our innovative minister, who always comes up with ideas. He holds brain-storming sessions with experts from the world. He also works for mobilising resources for investment from abroad and I am confident that the entire Railways will undergo a sea-change in a short period.”
