Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday indicated that the long overdue reshuffle in the party and government was on the cards. According to well-placed sources, Modi hinted at this while addressing party office-bearers here at the meeting of BJP national executive.
Pointing to the huge expansion in party’s cadre base in past one year, the PM is reported to have said that the older members must make some space for the new members. “Under the circumstances everybody should be ready for changes in their roles and responsibilities,” Modi is reported to have said.
The Prime Minister would also address all the members of the executive on Monday morning. Later in the evening he would be addressing a public rally, the first in the series of several such rallies he would address in the run up to the crucial Uttar Pradesh state assembly polls scheduled for March next year.
