A piece of wing debris washed-up last week on the Indian Ocean island of Réunion was from flight MH370, the Malaysian PM confirmed on Wednesday. The Malaysia Airlines jet disappeared on March 8, 2014, when it inexplicably veered off course en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board. The two-metre-long flaperon is the only wreckage so far recovered from the flight. A colossal multinational hunt for the aircraft was undertaken.
