Union minister for Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSME) Kalraj Mishra on Thursday said though the by-election results were not as per BJP’s expectation, the party was ‘neither disappointed nor dejected’.
‘The results of by-elections were not as per our expectations, but it is wrong to say that the party is disappointed or dejected. This time we have lost, but will win in future,’ Mishra said. He said there had been something or the other shortcomings that the party’s defeat. A three-member campaign committee was constituted by the party for by-elections, of which Kalraj, MP Adityanath and state
president Laxmi Kant Bajpai were star campaigners.
Of the 11 assembly seats for which by-polls were held in UP, BJP won only three seats. The party had won all the 11 seats in last assembly polls.
