The police official also submitted a report to the judge, who was hearing a petition filed by Sikandar Singh Gill, the father of the missing woman.

At the last hearing on January 2, Lahore Police chief Aslam Tareen had told the judge that police believed Rajvindar was killed soon after she arrived in Lahore.

He had said that police had arrested a suspect in connection with the murder. During on Monday's hearing, the DSP told the judge that a man named Hafiz Shahzad Hussain had been arrested and Rajvindar's laptop was found in his possession.
