Child actor Jacob Tremblay, who won many awards for his role in Room, is also attached to star in Wonder as August Pullman, who was born with facial differences that prevented him from going to a mainstream school earlier in life - and then became an unlikely hero when he entered the local fifth grade, reports variety.com.
Roberts will be seen as Tremblay’s mother in the film and Wilson will portray the father. Directed by Stephen Chbosky, the film is slated for release on April 7 next year.
‘Wonder’ is children’s novel which was published in 2012 by Raquel Jarmillo under the pen name of RJ Palacio.
