Open to Different Options on Land Bill: Birender Singh

The Centre has indicated that it is open to different options on the Land <g data-gr-id="11">Bill,</g> but insisted that “we can move forward” only after the Joint Committee of Parliament looking into the matter submits its report. “We have no objection if a report comes with consensus. This is what I have said earlier too,” said Union Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh, when asked about the fate of the Land Bill, amid reports that the Joint Committee of Parliament looking into the legislation would resume its meetings only after the Bihar Assembly elections. The parliamentary panel, headed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP SS Ahluwalia, is expected to submit its <g data-gr-id="8">report in</g> the beginning of the next session, he said.
