One more step for women

Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts(IGNCA) has planned to organize a program Bhumika to emphasize the role of women in cultural heritage on the occasion of International women's Day.

Under the banner of this program there will be an exhibition cum workshop conducted from 8 March to 14 March at Indira Gandhi Centre for Arts, Janpath, New Delhi, in which women artists across the country will demonstrate their art and craft working in various media including wood carving, painting, clay modeling, music and dance.

On 8th March evening a lecture demonstration will be conducted by Dr Subhadra Desai at 5 pm and Singari Melam and a talk by Dr. Kapila Vatsyayan are scheduled on 14 March. The program is open for public throughout the week between 10.30 am to 5.30 pm.

The program named is being presented by the Ministry of Culture, under which (IGNCA) was established in 1987 as an autonomous institute.
