One lynched to death over a loan of Rs 150

A man and his two friends lynched his maternal uncle’s elder brother over a dispute for Rs 150 in Ghaziabad. The main accused of the case is still at large. Police, however, has arrested one of them. Sagir Khan, a resident in Shaheed Nagar area of Ghaziabad, owed Rs 150 to his maternal uncle Hasim, which he had not returned despite several reminders. On Saturday evening, Hasim’s brother Salim went to his shop in the area to recover the money, which led to a heated arguments. In the night around 11.30 pm Sagir went to Salim’s house with his two friends, Nadim and Wasim. The trio beat up both the brothers with hockey sticks. Hasim died on the spot while Salim is still admitted to the district hospital of Ghaziabad. ‘We have arrested Wasim and raids are being carried out to nab others,’ said SS Yadav, S P of Ghaziabad.
