A sub-inspector (SI), posted at Noida Sector 39 police station, was beaten up by a doctor and his father at police station premises for allegedly harassing the duo.

The duo has alleged that Ramesh Rawat has been harassing them as the doctor had married a girl a few days back without the consent of her family members.

The sub inspector along with the doctor and his father got injured during the scuffle. A case has also been registered against the father-son duo. All of them were taken to district hospital for treatment from where the SI was shifted to Kailash hospital. Meanwhile, the duo has been arrested for beating the police officer on duty.

As per report, the incident took place on Tuesday morning when the SI called Arun Parashar, a doctor by profession and resident of Sector 39, and his father for allegedly kidnapping a girl living in their neighbourhood. When, they reached police station along with the girl, they were informed that the girl’s father has lodged a complaint against Arun and his father for kidnapping his daughter three days ago and making her hostage.

The doctor, however, claimed that he has married the girl with her proper consent. When the girl’s family heard about their marriage, they started scuffling with the doctor.  In the meantime, the SI intervened and sided with girl’s family that irked the doctor resulting in fight at police station. The doctor, who thrashed the policeman alleged the SI is ‘forcibly’ indulging in their matter. He also alleged that the police officer had accepted bribe from girl’s family.

‘The policemen are trying to complicate the matter. Their biased approach is reflecting that the girl’s family have offered them money to take action against us,’ said the doctor who have also suffered grievous injuries. Meanwhile, the police have denied the allegations levelled by the doctor. ‘The allegation are baseless. Police just acted after a complaint was lodged by girl’s father,’ said a police official who is investigating the case.
