Northern Rly GM inspects Chandausi training centre

Northern Railway General Manager AK Puthia conducted an inspection of Zonal Railway Training Institute (ZRTI), Chandausi, on Monday. 

He was received by ZRTI Chandausi’s principal. Puthia visited class-rooms, modal rooms and hostel building. Further he interacted with the trainees undergoing various streams of railway working vis-à-vis transportation, commercial, accounts and transportation part of mechanical wing.  Puthia also inspected the blue prints and the under-construction hostel building of ZRTI which will enhance its existing carrying capacity. 

He perused and discussed  the existing course content of various training courses  being imparted at this premier institute. He also reviewed and suggested required additions in the existing course contents keeping in view the ever changing scenario of railway working. 

The Zonal Railway Training Institute Chandausi was setup in 1925 as Railway School of Transportation under East India Railway and is the oldest training Institute of Indian Railways. 

Presently the Institute caters primarily to the training of Group ‘C’ staff of Transportation, Commercial & Account departments and the running staff of Mechanical department for their transportation training.
