North Delhi Municipal Corporation on Thursday suspended two officials issuing show-cause notices against four allegedly for involving in illegal practices.  As per an official in the North Corporation, on Wednesday, these officials including Assistant Malariya Inspector (AMI), Rakesh Kumar and Beldar Pyarelal were on duty for checking mosquitoes’ genic conditions in the factory areas of Bawana Sector-2, wherein they threatened the factory owner of M Sector-2 and took bribe.

While the owner complained in the civic Headquarters these officials went back and returned the money they had taken from. “These unethical acts surfaced in CCTV footage and action was being taken on that ground,” said Deputy Mayor of the North MCD, Tarachand Bansal.

He also alleged that these days the leaders are busy in by-election campaigning and the officials are taking benefit of it but they won’t be spared if the thing comes into the notice.

The suspension letter mentioned: “It has come to my notice that you are involved in unethical practice which has been discussed in the office of deputy mayor in your presence. You are hereby directed to submit explanation within three days why action be not taken against you for unethical practice on complaint received.”
