The health department of North DMC, acting on the direction of mayor Azad Singh, inspected cases from Shahbad Daulatpur area and claimed that none of the deaths were due to dengue.
‘We have established with proof that seven of the ten deaths on Tuesday were not caused by dengue, while the reports of the other three cases are still awaited,’ said Mayank Sharma, additional commissioner (health), North DMC.
‘Our team of doctors and health officers visited the hospital where they were admitted and their residences to find out the exact cause of death,’added Sharma. The inquiry was ordered after residents of the area claimed that all these deaths were due to dengue.
