Noida’s 866 unused flats to be sold finally

Noida Authority is expected to launch the scheme for allotting unused 866 flats in the first week of December. The much-awaited scheme will have 143 for low-income group (LIG), 150 for economic weaker sections (EWS), 41 flats for middle-income group (MIG), 47 for high-income group (HIG), and 485 for Shramik Kunj categories.

It was found out in a survey that these unallotted flats located in Sectors 67, 73, 93, 99, 100, 110, 122 and 135 have not been used for many years.  The flats will be allotted through the lucky draw system. It would be the first time after 2006-07 that the Noida Authority will bring a residential flat scheme.

The EWS flats will be available for Rs 9-10 lakh, Shramik Kunj for Rs 4.7 lakh, LIG for Rs 37 lakh, MIG for Rs 59 lakh and HIG for Rs 1 crore.

According to sources, the exact date of issuing the forms will be decided only after the board meeting on 20 November. However, it is confirmed that the scheme was delayed after finance department took time in finalising the rates.
