Noida school bus accident: Student’s hand amputated

A day after 13-year-old Karan Singh Khatri lost his right leg after the school bus, he was travelling in was hit by a speeding truck, the doctors amputated one of the hands of 14-year-old Naveen.
Naveen’s condition, who is being treated at the RR Hospital, in New Delhi is said to be critical. Meanwhile, Karan is still under critical condition and doctors have said that the next 48 hours are crucial for him.

VB Joshi, spokesperson, Kailash Hospital where Karan is being treated said, ‘Karan is still under doctors’ observation. While he has been put off ventilator support, the blood circulation in his left leg has been affected. A special team of doctors is trying to save his leg.’ Both legs of Karan had been completely crushed under the wheels of the truck and to save his life, the doctors had amputated the right one on Thursday.

Seven students of Noida’s Army Public School were critically injured after a speeding truck rammed into their school bus on Thursday morning. Meanwhile, according to sources, the district administration has sent a notice to Army Public School for not complying with the order of keeping the school close till 18 January.
