Noida Authority hikes index cost for properties

The decision was taken in the 177th board meeting of the authority in Noida on Wednesday.

The maximum 15 per cent hike has been made in the commercial plots in various sectors.

After the new rates come into effect, the rate of commercial properties in group A sectors- 15,15 A, 16, 16A, 16B, 18, 25A, 32, 38 A, 41, 44, 50 and 51, would be Rs 1.24-Rs 1.43 lakh per sq m, which is maximum in Noida.

The minimum rate for commercial properties in Noida has now become Rs
69,000 per sq m in not-so-preferred sectors.

‘The step has been taken as a measure to promote investment in industrial sector. We have increased index cost of industrial sectors by 7.5 per cent,’ said Anju Kaushik, spokesperson of Noida Authority.

The index rate of housing, group housing and institutional properties has been increased by 10.41 per cent.

Due to this increase, the rate in the group A sectors has now become Rs 54, 105 per sqm.

The rate of plots for nursery schools and child care centres in residential areashas been decided as 50 per cent of the sector rate in those sectors.

The same is applicable for primary schools, training institutions, senior secondary and secondary schools.

However, the rates for these institutions in institution sectors would be equal to sector rates in those areas. For nursing homes and diagnostic centres, the rates are equal to the sector rates in those areas.
