No respite for denizens even as temp dips

Delhiites experienced another hot day on Sunday with the maximum temperature settling at 40.1 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal for this time of the year.

The maximum temperature had on Saturday shot up to 42 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest April day in the national Capital in the past six years, said an official of the Meteorological department.

At 4.30 pm on Sunday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 40.1 degrees Celsius, which is three notches above average.

The minimum temperature for the day settled at 29.8 degrees Celsius, which is eight notches above average, the official said.

The humidity level was recorded at 28 per cent. The weatherman has predicted similar conditions for Monday. The maximum temperature is likely to oscillate around 40 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature had on Saturday settled at 28.4, several notches above average. The maximum temperature at Palam observatory was recorded at 44 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
