‘No controversy over Guv’s meet with officers’

Update: 2015-11-09 23:54 GMT
Setting at rest the rising controversy over the meeting of officers called by Governor Acharya Devvrat last week, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Sunday said “there is no parallel government running in the state and the Governor can hold consultations with officers being constitutional head of the state”.

“There is no reason to raise any objection over the meeting as through such meetings the Governor can give advice to the officers and share his views but he cannot issue directions as his advice is not binding on the government,” he said.
