Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday condemned the statement of Gujarat Finance minister Nitin Patel for claiming that poverty in his state was due to the people from UP and Bihar and said these people have brought prosperity in that state.
‘’The Gujarat minister should not forget that the industries in his state were running only because of the workers hailing from UP and Bihar. If the workers of both the states return to their native place the industries in Gujarat and Maharastra will shut down automatically,’’ he told reporters here.
He said UP is better than Gujarat and there is no comparison between the two. ‘It seems this statement was made to unnecessary attract media attention. Earlier, the Gujarat Minister had claimed that the poverty ratio in Gujarat has increased due to the people from UP and Bihar.
Yadav, who chaired the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, said that the government has decided to make pathology tests free for the patients in all the government hospitals. According to the decision, the patients will not have to pay anything for around 100 pathology tests including blood, urine, stool or any other tests in the government hospitals.
