‘NLC is on track to achieve 10,000-mw capacity target’

PSU Neyveli Lignite Corporation is on track to increase the generation capacity to 10,000 MW in the next ten years, an NLC official has said.

'NLC has an installed capacity of 2,740 MW which includes three thermal power stations in Neyveli and 250 MW capacity located at Barsingsar in Rajasthan. We are on track to achieve our ambitious plan of 10,000 MW,' NLC Chairman and Managing Director B Surender Mohan said here on  Thursday.

'Very soon, 3x660MW thermal power station will come up at Ghathampur in Uttar Pradesh. Also, two power stations in Tamil Nadu are also on the cards,' he said.
