Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ally and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan on Sunday heaped praise on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and described the grand alliance’s victory as people’s approval for his development work in the state.
Paswan, whose party has suffered a humiliating defeat, said many factors would have led to the NDA’s big loss and they needed to be analysed.
“Nitishji has worked in his 10-year rule compared to Laluji’s reign in the preceding 10 years. If people have given him support, then it means that they have approved of his developmental work. More than Laluji, it is Nitish Kumar’s role in the win. He ran his campaign with a lot of patience,” he said.
His father and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan also congratulated Kumar and expressed hope that he fulfils people’s expectations.
