The police on Sunday arrested nine persons from communally-sensitive <g data-gr-id="17">Atali</g> village here on charges of whipping up communal passion in the area, which has witnessed two clashes recently.
The arrests were the <g data-gr-id="12">follow up</g> of May 25 violence in which several houses of the minority community were torched. These arrests were made against the FIR lodged on May 26.
Nineteen FIRs have been lodged in the case, naming 50 men, said Narender Chauhan, Inspector Crime Branch Faridabad. <g data-gr-id="16">Atali</g> witnessed the latest clash on Wednesday, in which four persons were injured. On Saturday, a special police team picked up 68 persons for questioning.
