Nigerian held with cocaine worth Rs 1 cr

New Delhi: A Nigerian national has been arrested and 102 gram cocaine worth more than Rs 1 crore in the international market seized from him, police said on Friday. Akachukwa Christrofer (34) was arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi police yesterday after it received a tip-off.

‘An input was received that he would be coming to the main gate of Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, Kashmiri Gate, to deliver a consignment of cocaine to his contact. We laid a trap and he was nabbed,’ aid additional commissioner of police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.

During a search of his body, 102 grams of fine quality cocaine worth Rs 1 crore and two lakhs in the international market was found in his possession, which was seized, said Yadav.
