A new students’ organisation will contest the Delhi University Students’ Union election this year. Called the ‘Chanakya Parishad’, it wishes to make students realise the importance of elections and help empower them. ‘In all these years, the NSUI and the ABVP have been fighting the election using muscle power and money power. So we wanted to bring a change and make students aware of the essence of election,’ Chanakya Parishad president Mantosh Sharma said.
