“Though the British Government has released a lot of classified documents of late, some of the files are supposed to be made public in 2022. Bose’s kin, who met up with the Indian premier Narendra Modi on May 9 during his Kolkata visit(requesting him to declassify the secret files on Bose), are travelling to London to attend a seminar on the “declassification” issue.

Bose’s family will also appeal to the Russian Government to release relevant information on Subhas lying with the KGB. Many believe that Netaji had travelled to Russia after the Taipei plane crash which many believe had caused his death in 1945.“We will seek help from Narendra Modi when we are seeking information from the Russian Government”.

Interestingly, Mumbai will see a huge rally at the Azad Maidan on June 5 demanding the declassification of secret files on Bose. “About 30,000 people are expected to gather under the organisation, the Netaji Subhas Ekta Manch. My uncle Ardhendu Bose is coordinating the Mumbai rally”, Chandra Kumar Bose said. Bose’s kin are also preparing for another meeting with the PM in June in New Delhi.
