The ongoing investigation in the spot-fixing IPL 6 scandal has led to more names coming out in the open. Millennium Post’s investigation has found that three more famous people are under the scanner for their alleged involvement in the scandal. The trio includes an aspiring actress, a Delhi-based businessman, who also runs another business in Dubai in partnership with a Dubai-based gangster, and a former cricketer who is now a cricket commentator.
It is also reported that the three were instrumental in connecting the D-company with IPL players.
Sources in the investigative agencies confirmed Millennium Post’s findings in the matter and corroborated it by saying, ‘The trio have been kept under surveillance. We don’t have enough evidence against them in order to question or detain them .’
Millennium Post is in possession of the report on the basis of which the three people are being investigated.
The actress who has been named was allegedly used as a honey trap to lure players of the tainted IPL 6. She had recently come under limelight after a controversial suicide case in the capital. The actress’s name has been withheld on request of the investigating agencies to avoid any hampering of the probe process. ‘She was in touch with many Indian and international players of IPL 6,’ the source added.
The business of this suspected actress, who has appeared in some Bollywood movies, is managed by a Delhi-based businessman, who allegedly worked under the instructions of Sunil Abhichandani popularly known as Sunil Dubai.
Sunil is one of the main accused wanted in the IPL spot-fixing scandal. He is suspected of making several bookies and players dance to his tunes. Sunil, who is currently hiding in Dubai, was reportedly in direct touch with Dawood Ibrahim and his brother Anees Ibrahim.
Interestingly, the former cricketer who has been often spotted in the commentary box, was an alleged mediator between the Delhi-based businessman and two other financiers. One of the financiers is based in Jaipur and the other is film and TV actor Vindu Dara Singh.
‘The trio used to fix matches and sessions of IPL. They used to supply escort girls that included many starlets. They used to provide cocaine and party drugs to these girls to supply that was ultimately supplied at IPL parties,’ the report reads.
The Delhi-based businessman has a front company (name withheld) in Dubai reportedly in partnership with a gangster named Raj Sood, who is reportedly the right hand of Sunil.
