Nestlé India has completed rolling out a new range of packaged soups. Nestle General Manager (Foods) Shivani Hegde said, 'One of the key reasons why consumption of packaged soups has not been growing in India is because the products available till now have not delighted consumers. The new soups that we have developed are distinctly delightful.'
“Developing this product was not easy but we worked closely with Nestlé R&D in Shanghai and, using Nestlé’s new and proprietary ‘granulation based technology’, have been able to retain the freshness of key ingredients and deliver a multi-sensorial experience,” she added.
'These soups contain fresh vegetable purees and deliver the fresh taste and aroma of home-made soups. For the first time, the consumer has a product that delights him from the moment he picks up the pack, starting with the rustle of the granules, the sight of colourful real vegetables, the aroma of fresh vegetable purees, and the taste of real soup,' she explained.
“Consumers are telling us that these soups are ‘wow’ and we are very excited. In fact, Nestlé India is amongst the first in the Nestlé world to adopt this unique technology for making soups.'
'The new range of New Maggi Healthy Soups has been rolled out in the top cities across the country. The range contains six delicious popular varieties and for the first time ever, this technology allows us to make a delicious Spinach soup which is extremely popular in Indian homes,' she noted.
