A 17-year-old girl alleged that she was raped by her neighbour at Mongolpuri area of outer Delhi on Monday. The accused has been arrested and identified as Prahlad(24).
According to police, the incident took place on Monday afternoon, when the accused allegedly entered the house and told her that someone is waiting for her at nearby place.
'When the girl doubted about its behaviour, she tried to escape from the captivity of the accused. However, Prahlad threatened the girl and raped her at an isolated place. The accused however, left the girl after raping her,' said a police official.
The girl managed to reach her house anyhow and informed her parents about the matter after which they approached police. She was also taken to a government Hospital for a medical examination where rape
was confirmed.
The victim lives with their family at Mongolpuri area, and her father works in a private company. According to police, on Tuesday the father of the victim saw the accused, who was on his motorcycle.
