In the job summit organised by the Department of Labour and Employment a total of 12,924 job seekers including 350 physically challenged were short-listed by various private companies. The Minister for Labour and Employment Gopal Rai distributed appointment letters to the persons selected for jobs in the job summit.
“This is not just a job summit but a trust summit which will enhance trust between people, companies and the government. This job summit has given hope to the unemployed youth of the Capital,” said deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia addressing the successful applicants on the concluding day. The summit was organised by the Department of Employment at the Thyagraj Stadium. In this job fair two days were specially kept for persons with disabilities exclusively for hearing impaired and orthopaedically challenged.
“In this job summit, overwhelming response was received and more than 60,000 job seekers visited the venue,” said Gopal Rai. “The job you have got will give new opportunity and increase your confidence
level. In future, the Delhi government will organise more such job summits so that unemployed persons can get jobs,” he added.
