NDMC launches 10 steel water trolleys

New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Monday launched 10 stainless steel water trolleys procured at a cost of Rs76 lakh here, even as it stepped up efforts to provide water at social gatherings and religious places.

Jalaj Shrivastava, Chairman, NDMC launched the trolleys at a function held at 24X7 Water Supply Control Room at Kalibari Marg here.

“The move will ensure effective water supply at demonstration sites, religious places and social functions especially marriages,” an official said.

“The total water requirement in NDMC area is 195 ML per day, 125 ML is received from the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and the rest five ML is meet from the tube-wells,” the official added.

These stainless steel water trolleys are made of four mm thick steel sheet of 316 L grade with capacity of five kiloliters each. The trolleys are corrosion resistant durable with good strength and storage of potable water for long period without causing any contamination.
