Youth commits suicide following Panchyat diktat

Thursday was almost a red letter day for the ruling party BJP in Rajya Sabha. When a BJP woman MP from Madhya Pradesh Sampatyia Uikey took oath in the Rajya Sabha, ruling BJP party for the first time surpassed the number of sitting Congress members in the Upper house of the Parliament.
Till Thursday, Congress party was the single-largest party in the Rajya Sabha. Its number of MPs was 57 including Political Secretary of the Congress President Sonia Gandhi. But after Thursday's oath, the number of Bjp MPs in the Rajya Sabha rose to 58.
BSP supremo Mayawati resigned recently from the upper house. Whenever the election is held, BJP is likely to win that seat. With the coming election for the seat, in Rajya Sabha BJP will soon be way ahead of Congress.
One senior BJP Leader claimed on Thursday that by 2018 April, BJP and its allies would command a majority in the house. But many opposition leaders are objecting to this observation. It's clear that day after tomorrow's Vice Presidential poll would make the picture clearer about the colours of the Upper House.
It's also a fact that one of the main allies of the opposition parties JD(U) is soon going to be divided. Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar has already informed Chairman of the house Hamid Ansari that veteran leader Sharad Yadav's seat from the front row should be shifted.
The present Chairman of the house left the decesion for the coming new Vice President of the country. Whenever it happens, strength of the opposition would be reduced.
Again ruling party is desparate to get all the factions of AIADMK in its fold. Yet they will have to depend on the BJD for a little while. So, really 'ACCHE DIN' for the BJP has come in the Rajya Sabha.
