UP Governor Naik advises youth to be constitutionally responsible

Meerut: Delivering the presidential address at 29th convocation of Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU), on Friday, Governor of Uttar Pradesh Ram Naik appealed the students to apply responsible approach not only in the fields they would be moving to build their careers but towards their surrounding too.
He motivated the young scholars too cast their votes during the municipal corporations elections around the corner in state.
"As responsible citizens, we should not only give out whole to our careers but also contribute our bit in constitutional and civic responsibilities and for this youngsters must use their right to vote," Said UP Governor Ram Naik, while addressing the students of CCSU (Meerut) in the packed Netaji Subhash Chardra Bose Auditorium.
He also announced that ten booths with maximum voting percentage across the state of Uttar Pradesh would be selected and all the concerned officials with these booths would be felicitated after the municipal corporation elections at Governor's House in Lucknow. During his speech Governor also expressed his delight on the rising percentage of female toppers in higher education as well as in other sectors. "There was time when female entry in defence forces was argued but now they are in. Similarly there entry in air force was too debated but finally now they are not only in rather the portfolio of our defence ministry too is being illuminated by a lady defence minister." said the Governor appreciating the achievements by women in every field.
Before this Vice Chancellor of JNU M.Jagdish Kumar speaking as chief guest at the convocation stressed on balancing act between technology and social values. "We are living in such an age when rapid changing technologies are dictating our lives but we must not surrender our reins to technology.
Right blend of science and spirituality is the need of hour to save the humanity and make the society a better place to live", said M.Jagdish Kumar. Neurosurgon Dr. Bhupendra Chaudhray was awarded with Honorary Degree for his notable work in medical sciences. Among the total students who got the medals for their high ranking academic performance 72% were girls and boys had to get themselves satisfied only with 28% that clearly showed that girls are marching upward when it comes to high score.
